In the article "Adobe in Push to Spread Web Video to TV Sets" by Brad Stone on the New York Times

He states that Adobe want to bring Web Video into TV using flash. He also states that flash is one of the powerful web Video which is incorporated in most of the Phone that's why they want to bring it on TV as well.
